BCS needs to go!

I watched in disbelief as Isiah Lewis ran into the Wisconsin punter and the MSU dream (ours too) of going to the Rose Bowl came crashing down.  It was a phenomenal game that was definitely championship worthy.  We can only hope that the national championship is half the game this one was.  Judging by the last time LSU and Alabama played, it will be a boring defensive struggle.

After the smoke cleared, MSU was left out. 2 seasons in a row they have been left out.  Wisconsin goes to the Rose bowl once again.  If you think about it, Wisconsin only had to beat MSU once to go to 2 Rose Bowls and MSU would have had to beat Wisconsin twice to go to 1 Rose Bowl.  Makes sense doesn't it?  Michigan State is going to play Georgia in a lesser bowl while Michigan got the invite to play Virginia Tech in the Sugar Bowl. This doesn't make sense for many reasons.  First of all, Michigan got the invite to a BCS game having not played in the Big Ten Championship.  They got to sit at home and watch as 2 heavyweights slugged it out.  Michigan State beat Michigan badly this year when they played head to head.  Next, Virginia Tech got annihilated in the ACC Championship by Clemson and was selected over 1 loss Boise State.  So basically what the BCS is saying is that none of the the championship games last weekend mattered and none of Boise States games this season mattered.  Oklahoma State hammers their biggest rival and what does that get them?  A BCS ranking of 3 and on the outside looking in.  Oklahoma State got screwed too.  How can a team that can't win their own conference (didn't even play in the conference championship game) be given an opportunity to play for a national championship?  Money talks and the BCS proves it.

I will not be watching any of the BCS games due to the ridiculousness that it is.  Good luck to all the schools and I hope that LSU throttles Alabama.
