Opening Day

Well it looks as if the Tigers will struggle with their middle relievers again. Justin Verlander made one mistake, albeit a huge one, that Texeira hammered. Other than that he was impressive. Phil Coke comes in and immediately gives up a dinger to Granderson (former Tiger). Oops. Anything up in the strike zone is gonna get pounded by a good team. New York isn't your average group of Joe's either. They have the best hitting lineup, top to bottom, in all of baseball. You have to be on your game and really concentrate on every pitch. Detroit had a great chance to break the game open early with the bases loaded and none out. All they could muster was a sacrifice fly. They will take it but it was an opportunity lost to be sure. This could be a really entertaining team to watch and I am looking forward to a great season in the D.

Is it me or would Nick Swisher be a fun guy to hang out with?
